summer swimg days
Eli loves to be outside and he LOVES to swing. I find this truly odd because when he was a wee-little one, there was no way he was going in one of those infant swings! Here are some pictures of various "swinging" times.

rollin, rollin, rollin!
My little man has finally decided that he wants to roll and now he doesn't want to stop. He rolled from tummy to back pretty early on but just mastered the other direction. Now, I put him down and he rolls all over the place. It adds a whole new dimension of having to watch him closely. He assumes the crawl position and is pretty close to crawling if you ask me! I think I truly have a "boy," he is constantly on the move, always wanting to investigate new things and he does not like to sit still!
Adam has his quarter end this weekend so he is really busy. I think Eli and I will just hang out and enjoy the beautiful weekend.

mommy time
Adam wasn't feeling very well this afternoon so Eli and I decided that we would go check out a new park. He had so much fun in the bucket swing and thought it was so exciting when I would swing in the swing next to him.
Poor little guy has some serious congestion problems going on but other than that he is doing great! He is really a lot of fun these days! His Grandma Glenda and Grandpa Bob came in town today and he was playing with his Grandma and laughing like crazy. I'm still not funny to him but I love to see him laugh. We took him to the grocery store this morning and he sat in the cart for the first time. He thought it was so interesting to watch me put all the stuff in the cart.
On another note, friends of ours just had a baby and we are so excited about Eli having another little girlfriend that he can flirt with...really he is a bit of a flirt!

6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy birthday to my little boy! He is officially 6 months old. Who knew how fast time would fly by! There are months that passed that seem like a big blur, through the sleepless nights, night-feedings, colic, reflux, etc.,it seemed like life was at a standstill. Now there are not enough hours during the day to spend with him.
If someone had told me six months ago that my life would be forever changed, I wouldn't really have believed them. Whose to believe that when a child comes into your life your perspectives change, your heart changes, your life changes and you never question any of it. That all the things you once did seem like a distant memory but you never regret for a second your new found love. Sure you "think" about all these things before you are a parent but you never realize the impact that it will truly have on you until you are one...
Anyways...enough of that and on to the little boy.
What is he doing in his ripe old age of 6 months?
Rolling-tummy to back although today was his first accidental back to tummy
Sitting-all by himself with just the occasional thump as his head hits the ground
Laughing-mostly at his dad; apparently I am not very funny
Eating-obviously never really had a problem with that-knock on wood he loves everything!
Talking-he says mama, most will think I am lying but I swear!
Weight-19lbs 7 oz.
Length-28 inches
He is such a happy baby these days! He knows our voices and if you are on the phone talking to him, he will cuddle the phone and smile...too cute! He has this crazy leg motion going on now where he is rocking his hips...who knows but he seems really entertained with it!
Here are his 6 month pics and a couple of other ones!

A free minute...
So, Adam is out of town and Eli just went down for a nap so I now have a free minute to write. Life has been SOOO busy. We were getting new flooring installed in our house and that seemed like it took forever. School has started so that adds a whole new set of things to do. Life is busy, there is no other way to put it!
My little man is growing at record pace, it seems like everyday he is able to do something new. He recently started sitting up and now sits in a highchair when we go to a restaurant and I couldn't be happier with that.
He is such an inquisitive little guy, he is amazed with the world around him. He is very alert and always watching everything. He loves to explore with his hands and his mouth(which can sometimes get him in a bit of trouble). Now that the reflux is well under control I feel like he is finally able to enjoy his life. He is eating like a champ and talking up a storm.
I love my job but I love more than anything going to pick him up after school and spending quality time with him. We talk and play and I couldn't think of a more perfect way to spend my evening.
